Cherokee will be rockin' July 1-4

The annual street dance during the Cherokee Little Sioux Summerfest will be held on Saturday, July 2 on East Main Street in downtown Cherokee and gates open at 7 p.m. and the dance will last until midnight.

This year's featured act will be the Dweebs, a six-piece family rock band which is based in Wisconsin and travels throughout the U.S.

Specializing in festivals, fairs, corporate and private events, the Dweebs present an unforgettable, interactive show that is unique in that it's both suitable and appealing for all ages. There aren't many bands who can claim both, but The Dweebs truly offer something for everyone!

The Dweebs have become one of the top festival draws in the midwest, headlining at some of the premiere festivals in the region. They also appear at national country music festivals and have opened for acts such as Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker.

Excellent vocals, audience participation and superior musicianship bring your favorite songs to life and make every show by The Dweebs unforgettable!

This unique band features Michael Blue, his son Benjamin and daughter Claire, all on lead vocals, and son Mike Jr. on the drums. T-Bone Coen on keyboards and Trevor Radtke on bass guitar complete the line-up.
