Ridge View girls edge MVAO

GALVA - The Ridge View Raptors continued to play solid softball as they defeated Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto, 3-2, in a tough Western Valley Conference softball game here on Monday.

Gretchen Kistenmacher pitched well for the Raptors, who threw all seven

innings, giving up two runs on six hits while walking two and striking out three. The Raptors scored their three runs on just seven hits. Roxanne Grundmeier led the Ridge View offense, going 2-3 with one RBI and one stolen base, while Dana Hustedt went 1-2 and drove in a run, and Kyra Hoffman also went 1-2 with an RBI.

Ridge View coach Scott Phelps said he and the other coaches are proud of the way the girls play solid softball and work to improve everyday. Ridge View is now 16-5 overall and 8-3 in the Western Valley Conference.
