STORM LAKE - St. John Lutheran Church, located at 402 Lake Ave., Storm Lake, is pleased to invite the community to a program of music, "Vicar and Friends," on Sunday afternoon, July 10, at 3:30 p.m. The public will enjoy the varied program presented by a fine group of musicians.

Headlining the program is Lance Klamer, a former student of Dr. Jeffrey Blersch, Concordia, Seward. Now a seminary student, Klamer is currently serving his vicarage year at Trinity Lutheran, Marcus, and Pilgrim Lutheran, Quimby. His wife, Melissa, will be featured playing flute on one selection.

Jeanette Hinkeldey, Director of Music at St. Paul Lutheran in Aurelia and adjunct professor at Buena Vista University, will also perform. Hinkeldey holds a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance from Drake University.

Others on the program include Geoff Ullerich of Storm Lake, a Hinkeldey student; Lynn Hardt of Storm Lake, a former All-State musician and member of the Cherokee Symphony, who will play the English horn; and Suzanne Winterhof, director of music at St. John Lutheran in Storm Lake.

The efforts of these musicians will be enhanced by St. John Lutheran's Dobson Organ, opus 55. The Dobson Organ Company of Lake City is a nationally-recognized builder of fine organs.
