Raptors blast OABCIG Falcons

Friday, July 1, 2011

HOLSTEIN - The Ridge View Raptors baseball team exploded for nine runs in the second inning and tacked on four more in the third on their way to a five-inning, 14-0 pasting of Western Valley Conference foe Odebolt-Arthur/Battle Creek-Ida Grove here on Monday.

Ridge View's Kris Alesch spun a 3-hit, 7-strikeout shutout on the mound and also had a good night at the plate, driving acroos four runs with his 2-3 performance. He had plenty of help, though, as Josh Mohr was 3-3 and also drove in four runs, and Heath Clark clubbed a triple and scored three times.

Ridge View coach Shannon Tesch felt that his team played well in all areas and he is very pleased with the team's focus right now.

The Ridge View Raptors are 14-8 on the season and 10-3 in the Western Valley Conference.
