The 20-7 Eagles of veteran coach Leo Hupke relied on the stellar pitching performances of Kayla Foresman and Stephanie Specht in handling the 19-13 Blackhawks in their home domain.
Foresman gave up just two hits in fashioning her shutout, along with two walks and four strikeouts in seven innings.
Leading the way at the plate for MMC were 8th grader Beth Specht 1-2 with an RBI that scored her sister Stephanie, who also singled. Foresman and Kayla Theisen had the other hits for the winners, who managed just four hits in the pitcher's duel.
Stephanie Specht got the mound win for MMC in the second game, allowing one run on five hits and two walks, with four Ks in seven innings.
Foresman led the offense with a home run, two RBI and a run scored, while Erica Dreckman was 1-2 with a run scored and a stolen base, Reagan McDaniel 1-3 with an RBI, and Theisen two runs scored.
