Le Mars pitcher Judd Herzberg shut down the Cherokee offense on one run and just three hits, with one walk and seven strikeouts in six innings of work.
Jake Spindler was the lone bright spot in the Cherokee batting lineup, finishing with a 2-3 night and scoring the Braves' lone run of the game. Nate Seliger had the only other Cherokee hits.
Curtis Ege took the pitching loss for Cherokee, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks, with three Ks in three innings. Adam Pitts pitched 1 1/3 innings and gave up four runs on five hits, and Zac Smith pitched one inning and allowed one run on two hits.
Jeremy Bohlke and Austin Homan led the explosive Bulldog hitting attack, with Bohlke 3-4 with three RBI and a home run, and Homan 2-4 with two RBI and a home run. Eric Havey was 2-4 with a double and three RBI.
"Le Mars clinched the outright conference title with this one," said Cherokee coach Chad Osler. "We were right in there when they hit a couple well-timed home runs that really took the wind out of our sails."
Cherokee ends the regular season with a 5-18 overall record and a 4-10 record in the Lakes Conference for sixth place.
