MOVILLE - The River Valley softball team's season came to an end here on Wednesday when they dropped a Class 1A Regional Tournament game to Woodbury Central, 4-2.

RV Coach Dean Norris said, "Lack of offense hurt us." Bailey Fitch had a single and Kari Ludvigson a two-RBI double. Mackensie Fitch was the hard- luck loser on the mound.

River Valley ends the season with an overall record of 10-15 and graduates two seniors - Amanda Miller, a four year starter at catcher and Jessicca Fundermann, a three year starter at 2nd base.

Coach Norris said that both girls will be missed for their leadership and positive attitudes, but with seven returning starters and a big incoming 8th grade class, he hopes that River Valley can be very competive in the upcoming years.
