CRMC Relay for Life team fundraiser

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Again this year, Cherokee Regional Medical Center is conducting a themed gift basket silent auction fundraiser to support the Cherokee Relay for Life efforts during the month of July.

Various departments and individuals within CRMC have donated over 20 different gift baskets for the auction, which is open to employees and the general public.

"We had a tremendous response to the auction last year in raising over $2,100, so we decided to offer the baskets again this year," said Kent Lundquist, Marketing and Public Relations Manager at CRMC. "The employees and staff really stepped up and put together some very nice baskets for the auction," said Lundquist. "This has the potential to be a very successful fundraiser again this year."

The baskets are on display in various areas at CRMC including Admitting, Specialty Clinic, the Cafeteria and Cherokee Regional Clinic. Bids will be accepted at CRMC until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 22 with payment due from the winning bidder by Wednesday, July 27, 2011.

Again, the silent auction is open to anyone wishing to support this great cause. All of the proceeds of this sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society during the Relay for Life that will be held on Aug. 5 at Spring Lake Park.

For more information about the CRMC Relay for Life themed gift basket auction you may simply stop by Cherokee Regional Medical Center or contact Kent Lundquist at (712) 225-3368 ext. 259.
