The Cherokee Thunder Truck and Tractor Pull is excited to announce the addition of a new class of tractors that will be pulling at the Cherokee County Fairgrounds Friday, July 29.

The Unlimited Super Stock Class is brand new to the Outlaw Pulling Association. This new class of tractors has a weight limit of 6,500 pounds. Before each pull, the tractors are weighed with the driver included to be sure that they fit into the weight requirements. The tractors can have an unlimited number of turbos in addition to no restriction with engine size. When these tractors start down the track with the sled behind them, their wheel speed is up to 100 miles per hour. With around 2,000 horsepower behind these spinning wheels, these tractors run on alcohol.

In addition to the Unlimited Super Stock Class, Cherokee Thunder will also feature the Light Super Stocks, Super Farms, Diesel Super Stocks, and the 4 Wheel--Drive Trucks. Cherokee Thunder Truck and Tractor Pull will be held at the Cherokee County Fairgrounds on July 29, beginning at 7 pm.

Both the Cherokee County Pork Producers and the Beef Producers will be grilling for the event. Admission is $12 for adults, $5 for ages 6--12, and kids under age 5 are free.

There is also a charge of $5 per cooler, as no alcohol will be sold at the pull. Mill Creek Valley 4-H Club will be selling pop and water.
