The Iowa Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA) will conduct a "Veterinary Camp" on Aug. 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marcus Community Fair in Marcus.
The camp is focused on educating students between the ages of 10 and 18. The goal is to spark their interest in veterinary medicine.
Vet Camp will consist of three stations with activities such as learning proper injection sites and techniques, first aid and care of small animals, bandaging, basic physical exam skills and much more. Local veterinarians along with veterinary technicians and veterinary students from the area will also be there to help teach.
