Back then, there were a lot of teams to play against and many games were played. But with increasing diversions, plus the process of aging taking its toll, both teams eventually decided to hang it up.
It was a sad day for many, as the public had appreciated the inexpensive entertainment on summer evenings and it was also a good way for the guys to stay in shape.
So it was with a feeling of nostalgia that the guys recently decided to play one more game. It will be a night when folks can laugh and cheer as these brave middle-aged guys step up to the plate to hit a few and see how well their eyes can adjust to catching the ball. More importantly, how will their muscles react to the abuse they might feel when the game is over?
The game will take place Thursday evening, August 11 at 7 p.m. in the park at Marcus. Be prepared to have a great time, filled with laughter with your friends and neighbors. It can't get any better than this!
