The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors Tuesday approved an $8,000 donation from the Rural Betterment Fund to benefit the Grand Meadow Heritage Center's proposed Blacksmith project.
The Board also proceeded with plans to refinance a proposed $2.8 million General Obligation Bond and Loan Agreement for the Cherokee County Landfill Commission. Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on the matter at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 23 in the Board room at the Courthouse.

The Board also approved a utility permit for underground telephone cable installation in Section 6 of pilot Township.
The Board tabled action on the proposed 4-H Expo Building sprinkler system at the Cherokee County Fairgrounds, pending additional study of the finances and system involved.
