Listen up - Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn football coach Brad Cave takes a knee at a break to talk defense with players, left to right, linebacker Dylan Rolfes, defensive end Michael Deichmann, and linebacker Lee Hueser during the Eagles' season-opener against Sioux Central in Marcus Friday night. The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn football team hosted Sioux Central in the season opener for both teams Friday, and the Eagles wound up on the short end of a tight game, 22-19. Hopefully, we'll have more game details in Wednesday's Chronicle Times.
