Flower Girls were Lily and Ella Berlin, cousins of the bride. The Maid of Honor was Nancy Christensen, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were Katie Pronk, Emily Green, and Megan Ware. The bride's Personal Attendants were Abbey Gessmann and Whitney Mower. Best Man was Korey Stephens, and groomsmen were Charles Leissler V, Tyler Gerstandt, and Ken Murkowski. Matt Vanover and Alex Jantz were the ushers. Marnie Meylor, sister of the groom, served as Lector. Original music for the ceremony was composed and performed by Charles Leissler IV. A reception was also held at the Quad Cities Botanical Center, and individual cakes for the bridal party and a cake for the parents and grandparents were made by Mallory Meylor, sister of the groom.
Laura is the daughter of Duane and Linda Christensen and Jonathan is the son of Kay Meylor and the late James Meylor, all from Cherokee. Special guests attending the wedding were Bruce Christensen and Dave and Jan Deedrick, grandparents of the bride, and Betty Meylor and Swede Hjelmeng, grandparents of the groom.
Laura and Jon graduated from Cherokee Washington High School in 2005, then received degrees from Iowa State University and the University of Iowa, respectively. The couple now reside in Davenport, Iowa where the groom attends Palmer College of Chiropractic. The bride works for Community Care, Inc. in DeWitt, Iowa.
