Willer - Fassler wedding

Erica Lynn Willer and Nickolas Adam Fassler exchanged wedding vows Saturday, June 18, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller. Pastor David Lyons officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony. Erica is the daughter of Rick and Deb Willer, Schaller, and the grand-daughter of Ron and Carol Wendel of Schaller and Melvin Willer of Battle Creek. Nick is the son of Del and Denita Fassler and the grandson of Ron and Karen Peck, all of Peterson.

Providing music were Rhonda Schmidt, organist, Jess Biede, vocalist, and Jason Herron, trumpeter. Jess sang "The Parents Prayer" while the parents and grandparents were seated. During the ceremony, she sang "This Ring" and "Here We Stand". Jason played the piccolo trumpet and the regular trumpet for the processional and recessional.

Maids of Honor were Erica's sisters Angie and Becky Willer. Other attendants were friends; Cassi Miller, Allissa Hopkins, and Ranae Klinkefus. Best Man was Nick's brother, Brent Fassler, and his groomsmen were James Fassler, Nick's brother, and friends Mark Lindgren, Justin Davis, and Steve Zarr.

Flower girls were twin sisters Claire and Adelyn Davis, and the ring bearer was Roan Jackson, Erica's godson. Erica's personal attendant was Karen Scott. Cross bearer was Ryan Wuebker, while Jordan Wendel and Matthew Peck lit the candles. Ushers were Jeremy Lambert, Brian Bengtson, Shawn Sierck, Josh Fry, and Ryan Radke. Candice and Kendra Sierck, attended the guest book. Kelli Miller was the photographer and Vince Wendel did the videography.

Erica's chosen colors of orange and pink decorated the church and reception. She carried her Great-grandmother Fouts' hankie that had Nick and Erica's name and wedding date embroidered on it. A special candle arrangement on the organ was in memory of Erica's grandmother Donna Willer and Nick's grandparents, Melvin and Sherrie Fassler.

Following the ceremony a dinner and dance was held at the Alta Community Center. Matt and Ronda Grell and Sherrie and Dennis Peck served as host and hostess. Cake cutters were Kim Wendel and Diane Bengtson. Punch servers were Brenna Bengtson and Kelci Miller.

Following a honeymoon to Hawaii, the couple now reside on an acreage near Alta.

Erica is employed as a Special Education teacher at the Storm Lake Middle School, and Nick is employed at the Hy-Vee Warehouse in Cherokee.
