A group of 27 women from the Cherokee area recently traveled by bust to Omaha to attend the Women of Faith conference at the Qwest Center.

The Women of Faith tour appears in cities across the U.S. during the year. This year's conference was titled "Over the Top," based on the verse Romans 11:33 (MSG) "Have you ever come on anything quite like this extravagant generosity of God...?"

During the two days of the conference, thousands of women heard messages from Patsy Clairmont, Marilyn Meberg, Mandisa, Sandi Patty, Lisa Whelchel, and Andy Andrews; dramatizations by Katharine Everett, and music by the Worship Team.

Special guest speaker and singer was Amy Grant. Those in attendance returned home refreshed, encouraged, and inspired. Organizer of the trip was Pat Friedrichsen, Next year's conference will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Des Moines on Aug. 24-25. Everyone is welcome.
