River Valley outlasts Ar-We-Va

Riedemann figures in on an amazing eight TDs

CORRECTIONVILLE - Sophomore quarterback Brennan Riedemann completed 21-48 passes for 422 yards and a whopping six touchdowns to lead River Valley to a thrilling 64-61 victory over Ar-We-Va in 8-player football action here Friday night.

In addition, Riedemann rushed 18 times for 80 yards and two more TDs to figure in on eight TDs for the 2-1 Wolverines.

Blane Cullen caught 13 passes for 200 yards and three of those TD aerials from Riedemann. Skylar Shever was leading rusher for the explosive River Valley club, totaing the ball 12 times for 33 yards and two more TDs.

Three more Wolverines were on the receiving end of Riedemann TD passes, including Tanner Cobb, Zak Gander, and Josh Pansegrau, who caught three passes for 102 yards all told.

Ross Pawletzki paced Ar-We-Va's ground attack with 13 carries for 82 yards and five TDs, and Blake Liechti rushed 13 times for 79 yards and two TDs.

From his QB spot, Pawletzki was 11-21 passing for 209 yards and one TD.

Liechti led Ar-We-Va in tackles with 23, and Elliott Kock had 20.

Jacob Preuss was all over the field on defense for River Valley, totaling an amazing 20 tackles, while Cullen was in on 14 stops, Riedemann nine, Cobb seven, and Wyatt Fitch and Parker Goettsch six apiece.

Ridemann's stellar performance on both sides of the ball also included three interceptions. Preuss and Tanner Zahnley also had fumble recoveries for the Wolverines.

The RV boys take their 2-1 record to Whiting Friday night.
