OA/BCIG Falcons rip Alta-Aurelia Warriors

AURELIA - Trever Ryen rushed 19 times for a whopping 254 yards and three touchdowns to lead Odebolt-Arthur/Battle Creek-Ida Grove to a 35-8 demolition of Alta-Aurelia here Friday night.

The undefeated Falcons scored all five TDs on the ground, with Pat Billings scoring a TD on six carries for 44 yards, and Quinn Westphal rushing three times for 24 yards and a TD. Kent Nishimura was 3-4 kicking PATs for OABCIG.

Jalen Henningsen paced the Warriors offense with 21 carries for 142 yards and a TD to account for the lone A-A score. Garrett VanHouten rushed 15 times for 66 yards for the Warriors.

A-A quarterback Joe Napierala was 2-5 passing for 33 yards and one interception.

Henningsen had an interception for A-A and also was leading receiver with one catch for 20 yards.

Taylor Stevicks led the Warriors on defense with 10 tackles, followed by Ross Parcel nine, and Manuel Murillo, Shawn Rowell, Alex Stephan, and VanHouten with five tackles each.

Ryen had a pick for the winners, and Billings led the Falcon defenders with 12 tackles, followed by Logan Scott and Royce Rosemeter with six apiece.

Alta-Aurelia (1-2) plays at ranked West Lyon (2-1) Friday.
