CBPW reorganizes into 'Cherokee Career Women'

The Cherokee Business and Professional Women (CBPW) Chapter has reorganized, and charted a new organization called Cherokee Career Women (CCW).

The purpose of CCW is to provide a social network of support of working women. Membership is open to all. If your daily responsibilities limit your opportunity to meet other working women, this is the organization for you.

Retired, semi-retired, employed or unemployed women get connected with Cherokee Career Women. CCW will continuer to support education and career building. CCW will continue the annual High School Scholarship Program. CCW will also administer the Susan Hart Scholarship for non-traditional students. Meetings will be held the second Tuesday of each month. Membership dues are $25.

CCW will hold their first meeting Tuesday Sept. 13, at 5:30 p.m. at the Cherokee Country Club. For more information on becoming a member, contact Pam Pierce at 712-261-3191, or Julie Hering-Kent at 712-225-6414.

Charter members are Pam Pierce, Kim Rupp, Joan Anderson, Pattie Devitt, Paula Burch, Julie Hering Kent, Betty Harrison, Joan Ballantyne, Donna Burkhardt, Darla Struck, and Morgan Greverholt.
