Letsche's Bike Shop is proud to be one of 102 Trek Bicycle Dealers across the United States and Canada which have scheduled a bike ride to help combat breast cancer.

This ride is designed to raise awareness for breast cancer prevention, screening, and treatment, with women and men of all ages and abilities joining forces to ride all across the country on the same day, in the name of breast cancer research.

The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. An hour on a bike in fall weather is nothing compared to what individuals with breast cancer undergo during the diagnosis and treatment of this terrible disease.

The bike ride will be held at 1 p.m on Saturday, October 8, and will begin from Letsche's Bike Shop, 215 W. Main St. in Cherokee. Routes of both 10 and 25 miles are scheduled, and the entry fee is $25, with all registration fees donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Riders can register through the active.com website, or they may register at Letsche's Bike Shop by completing a registration form there.

The first 30 women who register will receive a free "Ride for Breast Cancer" t-shirt, and every participant will receive an event gift bag (resusable tote), water bottle, and more. Drawings for many fun door prizes will also be held on the day of the event.

Please contact Tom Letsche or Rich Hinkhouse at Letsche's Bike Shop (712-225-3433) for more information, to register, volunteer, or donate to the event.
