The Sanford Museum of Cherokee has a new exhibit in its West Gallery titled, "Glory Days."

In the spring of 1961, Cherokee County had nine public high schools and by the fall of that year the number had dwindled to four.

This exhibit has memorabilia from each of the nine high schools and gives a brief history of those schools. The museum is at 117 E. Willow St. in Cherokee.

The museum hours are from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon until 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The Sanford Museum is free and open to the public.
