MANNING - Ridge View quarterback Seth Johnson hooked up with receiver Kyle Wessling for a 10-yard touchdown pass that ended up being the only points the Raptors would score in a 35-6 football loss to a tough IKM-Manning team here Friday night.
Johnson finished completing 14-32 passes for 131 yards and one TD, and five costly interceptions in the Class 1A District battle. Johnson also rushed 13 times for 87 yards, and runnning back Dru Kenny carried the ball 19 times for 69 yards for Ridge View.
Kris Alesch had nine catches for 85 yards, and Kenny three for 26 yards to lead the Raptor receivers.
The potent ground attack for the winning Wolves churned out four TDs, with Austin Haubrich, Sam Irelmeier, Shayne Wiese, and Cody Willenborg tallying those scores. Haubrich led IKM's rushing attack with 17 carries for 129 yards, and Willenborg returned one of those five picks for a 39-yard TD.
Jamie Hueneke led the Ridge View defense with 14 tackles, while Wessling and Nate Myrice tallied nine apiece, Matt Wandrey eight, and Johnson and Paul Bainbridge seven each.
Ridge View (0-3) hosts Prairie Valley Gowrie Friday night.
