Rev. Emily Carroll of Fulton, Missouri officiated the Christian ceremony.
The bride's gown was Rasharna by Maggie Sottero, a light pink ball gown with a beaded and lace bodice, organza polka-dotted skirt and chapel-length train. She carried a round bouquet of dark pink and orange roses.
The Maid of Honor was Sarah Dettmer of Lawrence, Kansas and Matt Schubert of Cherokee served as the Best Man. Ushers were Jason Boggs of Des Moines and Jeremy Willis of Paragould, Arkansas; Scripture reader was Tricia Boggs of Des Moines; and Billie Bush-Gerjets of Johnston served as the greeter and guest book attendant.
The bride's parents are Amy and Steve Houts of Maryville, Mo. and Joe and Carla Dettmer of Overland Park, Kansas. The groom's parents are Chuck and Julie Woolley of Cherokee and the late Michael Bush.
The bride's grandparents are Betty Farber of New York City and the late Arthur Farber; Lorene Dettmer of Pilot Knob, Mo. and the late Clarence Dettmer; Lyle Houts of Rock Port, Mo., and the late Velma Houts; and Harold Crittenden of Wheaton, Illinois and the late Allison Crittenden.
The groom's grandparents are Lucille King of Quimby and the late William King; the late Lester and Mary Ann Bush; George and Judy Woolley of Cherry, Illinois, and the late Ruth Woolley.
The couple had a 3-tiered cake at their reception, with the bottom tier being a white cake with vanilla filling and white chocolate frosting; the middle tier a chocolate cake with a dark chocolate ganache and raspberry filling with white chocolate frosting; and the top tier a yellow cake with vanilla filling and frosting.
Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, Emily and Nick now live in Redding, California with their puppy, Wrigley. Emily is a 2004 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, and Nick is a 2003 graduate of the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Emily is self-employed, and Nick is a portfolio manager for De Lage Landen.
