Even as a young boy Sawyer was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Royals fan. Along with following sports Sawyer enjoyed fishing and golfing.

In his spare time Sawyer could be found hanging out with friends and playing Xbox. He was a talented artist, especially with drawing and sketching. Sawyer had an infectious smile and was usually the first to make others laugh.

He was preceded in death by a cousin Isaiah Leavitt; and great-grandparents Milford and Rose Thompson, Robert and Doris Hansen, Donald and Margaret McQueen, Roger T. and Bernice Leavitt.

Grateful to have shared his life are his parents, Tom and Becky Leavitt of Marcus; his brother Hunter and sister Payton at home; grandparents Harlan and Virginia Hansen of Rutland, and Roger and Elaine Leavitt of Marcus; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials may be directed to a scholarship at MMC schools in Sawyer's name.
