Aldie was born in Hunter, North Dakota on Oct. 17, 1942 to Jalmer and Alfaria Jacobson. She graduated first from Circle High School in Circle, Montana in 1960 and then from a business college in 1962 in Fargo, North Dakota. She married Myron Ludwig on February 17, 1962, and then together they moved to Larrabee, where she worked for the Larrabee School District as an administrative assistant for twelve years. From there she moved her family to Nampa, Idaho where she worked in property management for twenty years.
Of Norwegian descent, a couple of Aldie's favorite sayings were "Uff-da!" and "Ja." Family and friends alike will miss her famous potato salad, tuna noodle casserole, baked corn, and taverns. Aldie enjoyed family gatherings and cooking for all her loved ones, especially in her own kitchen that was always filled with decorative roosters!
