CORRECTIONVILLE - Undefeated Kingsley-Pierson kept the pedal to the metal throughout the game here Friday night to demolish River Valley 83-28 in 8-player District football action.
Panther quarterback Tate Rohde threw for five touchdowns, rushed for two more, and returned a kick-off late in the game 69 yards for an eighth TD to propel the 5-0 Panthers to the overwhelming victory on the host Wolverines' Homecoming. Four of Rohde's TD passes went to Travis Neumann, who caught five balls for 140 yards in the process.
In addition to Rohde's eight scores, Panther running backs Cody Kuchel rushed for two TDs and finished with 13 carries for 131 yards, including a 24-yard TD jaunt. Colton Phelps also rushed for a 44-yard TD, and Colin Henrich snagged a 22-yard scoring pass from Rohde.

River Valley's Brennan Riedemann figured in on three Wolverine TDs, completing 17-26 passes for 174 yards and one TD, and rushing 11 times for 63 yards and one TD. Skylar Shever also scored a TD for River Valley, finishing with 15 carries for 81 yards. Brody Riedemann was 1-2 passing and one TD, completing that 55-yard strike to to his brother Brennan.
Jacob Preuss led the RV defense with 15 tackles, Parker Goettsch tallied six, and Brennan Riedemann five.
John McNaughton led the K-P defense with 20 tackles, followed by Neumann 14, Rohde 11, Henrich 10, and Evan Colfack 10.
River Valley takes a 3-3 record to 4-1 Remsen-Union Friday night in more 8-player District action.
