Cherokee Christian Community organizers have again scheduled participation in the "National Life Chain" from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Main and Second Streets in downtown Cherokee.
In conjunction with the Life Chain, a "Pack The Pick-up" event is also scheduled for 1:30-3 p.m. and participants are asked to bring non-perishable food and grocery items to the designated pick-up truck to be parked in front of the American Theater on East Main Street. The items will be forwarded to the CAP Food Pantry at the Cherokee Immaculate Conception Church.
There will be a prize awarded to the Religious Education Class bringing the most items to the Pack The Pick-up event.
Life Chain participants are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. in the Sanford Lane Park adjacent to the American Theater.
The annual Life Chain is a "prayer chain" and public sidewalk display against abortion. It is a peaceful, silent, prayerful demonstration, including appropriate signage, promoting the protection and sanctity of all human life.
