O'Halloran 'Truckin' For The Troops'

Thursday, October 6, 2011

O'Halloran International is partnering with Iowa schools and communities to help our troops fighting abroad.

In Cherokee and various other communities, O'Halloran is organizing a "Truckin' For The Troops" care package collection to provide essentials for our troops serving in the Middle East.

Collection dates and sites in Cherokee include the Cherokee Powder Puff football game at Washington High Thursday beginning at 4 p.m., and the Cherokee Braves Homecoming football game against East Sac County Friday night.

Donations also are accepted at O'Halloran International at 1324 S. 2nd St. from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and through 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10.

The donated items to be delivered to active-duty troops serving in the Middle East include health and hygiene items; non-perishable food items; entertainment games and puzzles, CDs, DVDs, handheld electronics, books and magazines, etc.; and miscellaneous items like USB drives, card sets, hand/foot warmers, pens, etc.

For more information, contact Michelle Clark at Cherokee O'Halloran, or go to .
