MOPS host blood drive

Monday, October 10, 2011

MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers) is a program designed to nurture and bring mothers together...any woman that is between pregnancy and through kindergarten are able to attend these meetings. They meet at Meriden Evangelical Free Church the second Wednesday of the month (during the months of September - May)from 9 am to 11 am. Meetings normally consist of breakfast, a speaker with/or group discussion and craft for the kids. You can have two hours to make new friends, share experiences, laugh together and learn biblical principles pertaining to womanhood, parenting and marriage. The best part is during these two hours you can bring your children to quality free daycare with wonderful loving and nurturing volunteers. These volunteers are carefully selected and are excited to play with and care for the children. The children will all be divided into age appropriate classes and from there they will play games, have snack, do crafts, hear stories and music. Each month they try to do a service project so that we can give back to the community. This month they are hosting a Blood Drive with LifeServe Blood Center on Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Meriden Evangelical Free Church at 414 East 3rd Street in Meriden. For more information about MOPS please feel free to call Joni De Vos at 229-1571.
