Katie's Crusaders' applies for PinkWell Challenge

Lester Smith, creator of the PinkWell Challenge, is appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this Tuesday, Oct. 11 to talk about the challenge and his book, "You Gotta Dance Like No One's Watching." Don't miss it as a PinkWell applicant, there are 25,000 reasons to watch. In honor of breast cancer awareness month and Ellen's involvement in the cause, Lester Smith is paying it forward by creating a special $25,000 Ellen Degeneres PinkWell Award.

As one of 155 organizations that applied to the challenge, your organization is eligible. To win the $25,000 award, all you have to do is get the most votes on pinkwell.org between Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Thursday, Oct. 13., 2011. Visit pinkwell.org on Tues., Oct. 11 for all the details.

Former Cherokee resident Katie Mangan, founder of Katie's Crusaders, has applied for this Pink Well Challenge for Katie's Crusaders. She asked tohelp get the word out and get the most votes possible. For more information visit www.katiescrusaders.org.

The winner of the Ellen Degeneres PinkWell Award and the 20 PinkWell Challenge finalists will be announced on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 at pinkwell.org. Tune in to The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday÷then get out the vote÷and capture the Ellen DeGeneres PinkWell Award and $25,000 for the fight against breast cancer.

Katie is doing so well health wise right now and she only beat this dreadful cancer with the help of all her family, friends and the support from her hometown.
