The Sanford Museum Association will be presenting two spooktacular programs on Saturday, Oct. 22.

The first will be held at 10 a.m. and is called "American Theater Ghostly Tour" with Curt Strutz. Snacks, along with a presentation of the Cherokee American Theater episode of "Paranormal Generation" will be held at the Sanford Museum.

Then those in attendance will tour the American Theater with Curt Strutz, who will bring his paranormal equipment to monitor any activity.

This is a fundraiser for the Sanford Museum Association. If you are a member of the Sanford Museum Association, it will cost $15 and non-members' cost will be $20. There are 50 spots available, and the museum asks that you please call 712-225-3922 to reserve your spot.

The second program will also be held on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m., and will be free and open to the public. Curt Strutz will be back to give "Haunted House Program." Strutz visits nationally recognized haunted houses.

He has photos, videos and testimonies, and will also talk about the histories of the sites he visits. There will be a discussion about being a "ghost hunter" and the tools and theories involved.

The Cherokee Sanford Museum is located at 117 E. Willow St. in downtown Cherokee
