MANSON - South Central Calhoun scored 49 team points to win the Boys' team title in the Twin Lakes Conference Cross Country meet here on Saturday, edging the 2nd place Alta-Aurelia Warrior boys, who scored 64 points as a team. Sioux Central was 3rd, SE Webster-Grand 4th, and Prairie Valley 5th.
Pocahontas Area/ Pomeroy-Palmer's Don Jarvis was the top individual runner with his time of 17:21, and A-A's Austin Delp was the Warriors' top finisher, running the course in a time of 18:08, good for 4th place. The Warriors' Ross Friedrich finished 9th, in a time of 18:26; Trenton Delp was 13th, in 18:37; Tyler Larson was 18th in 19:01; Jayden Van Berkum was 20th, in 19:04; and brothers Jordan and Jared Schmitz finished 23rd and 27th with times of 19:15 and 19:25, respectively.
On the girls' side, the team title went to Sioux Central with a team score of 31, followed by Prairie Valley, with 55, and SE Webster-Grand, with 71 points. Alta-Aurelia finished 4th, scoring 123 team points.
Jaclyn Rittgers of Prairie Valley won the individual race with a time of 15:18. Tami Bertrand led A-A's contingent with an 11th place time of 17:43, while Chayce Glienke was 18th, in 18:16, Ali Turnquist was 21st, in 18:44, Alyssa Turnquist was 35th, in 20:04, Jayna Brechwald was 38th, in 20:11, and Mackenzie Gaes was 46th, in a time of 24:25.
