Ridge View stymies Cougars, 32-29

MANSON - Ridge View quarterback Seth Johnson passed for three touchdowns and ran for a another to lead the Raptors to an entertaining 32-29 upset win over Manson NW Webster here Friday night.

Johnson hooked up with Kris Alesch for two TDs, and Ryan Garthoff for one, and also rushed for one TD.

He was 22-41 passing for a whopping 374 yards and three TDs, and two interceptions. Alesch caught seven passes for 113 yards, Garthoff four for 123 yards, and Austin Greff eight passes for 105 yards.

Dru Kenny led the Raptor rushing attack with 17 carries for 84 yards, while Johnson rushed nine times for 36 yards. Kenny also rushed for a TD for the winners.

Jesse Partlow rushed for a 19-yard TD for Manson NW Webter, and Chris Stuhrenberg ran for a 46-yard TD. Trevor Schreier caught a psss for a 7-yard ZTD from QB Tucker Herzberg, who completed 8-13 passes for 73 yards, one TD, and one interception.

Johnson had the pick for Ridge View. Kyle Wessling led the Raptor defense with 16 tackles, followed by Jamie Huenecke 15, Alesch 11, and Michael Davidson, Dru Kenny, and Nate Myrice nine apiece.

Brody Eischeid returned an interception 49 yards for a TD fpr the Cougars.

Ridge View (3-5) hosts Westwood Friday night to finish the regular season. Manson NW Webster now sports a 6-3 record.
