ALTA - The #2 team in the state, the undefeated Emmetsburg E'Hawks, rolled into Alta on Friday, and when they left they headed north with a 48-6 win over the out-manned Alta-Aurelia Warriors.

Emmetsburg rolled up 313 yards on the ground and also completed one of two passes they attempted, good for a 26 yard touchdown.

The Warriors' Joe Napierala had three of his five pass attempts picked off by the Emmetsburg defenders, and 1000+-yard rusher Jalen Henningsen was held to 77 yards rushing on 15 carries. The Warriors' lone TD came on a 4-yard run by Garrett Van Houten, who totaled 16 yards on six carries for the game.

Ross Parcel had 11 tackles to lead the Warriors' defense and Van Houten added 10 stops.

Alta-Aurelia (1-8, 0-7) will try to stop a 7-game losing streak when they travel to Sibley to meet Sibley-Ocheyedan Friday night in the season's final game.
