Christmas Box Program for soldiers

Monday, November 21, 2011

As were celebrate the holiday, Central Bank of Cherokee hopes that each of us will remember our troops by mailing them a card of donating towards the 5th Annual Central Bank Christmas Box Program that are sent to soldiers who won't be home for Christmas.

This year the program is sending soldiers from the Cherokee County area Christmas Trees to decorate their "home away from home" setting.

The Cherokee Roosevelt Elementary first graders are making tree ornaments; however, the program is in need of lights, garland, tree skirts and Christmas CDs to complete the project.

Organizers welcome any donations towards this project.

You can drop off items at both Central Bank locations. The boxes will be shipped on Dec. 2.

Organizers thank the public for its past support, and ask you to again please help them to make these soldiers have a "Hometown Christmas" wherever they are.
