Monday, November 21, 2011

Featured speaker - Karen Nelson brought many postcards, maps and booklets to show the Good Time crew, as well as Hawaiian products and other souvenirs from the Hawaiian cruise she took in October of this year.
Members of the Good Times Place participated in a Hawaiian Luau at the Cherokee Community Center on Thursday November 9, and the Cherokee seniors came dressed in muumuus and grass skirts for the occasion. which was hosted by Dale and Caryl Lee Cline.

Ellen Henderson greeted everyone with a lei and an "Aloha" greeting, and then speaker Karen Nelson told of her recent vacation to our 50th state and shared photos and souvenirs of her trip.

Morgan Graverholt and Dave Ellis gave some hula lessons to the group, and then everyone enjoyed dancing "en masse" to some Hawaiian melodies.
