Reverend Donald Keith "Corky" McCollam

The Rev. Donald Keith (Corky) McCollam, 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at his home in Columbia, Mo., on Nov. 18, 2011.

The funeral was held at Kotrba Funeral Home in Gregory, S.D., on Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. The family received friends one hour before the service. Interment followed at Odd Fellows Cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda McCollam. He was a loving Father and Grandfather.

He served as Pastor with the Assemblies of God in Iowa, Missouri and Florida for 27 years. Many lives were changed due to his ministry and service to others. He also was employed with the Bay County School Board in Panama City, Fla., for 10 years. During his tenure there, he ministered to many hurting children.

He was preceded in death by his father, William S. McCollam; mother, Ora Loudon McCollam; and his aunt, Mary McCollam Jongewaard, who raised him from the age of 2. He also was preceded by his mother-in-law, Amanda Davis of Panama City, Fla.; three brothers, Howard McCollam, Richard McCollam and James McCollam; and two sisters, Marjorie McCollam Schuppan and Mary Jane McCollam Ahern.

He is survived by his father-in-law, Norman Davis of Columbia, Mo.; two sons, Russell McCollam (Pam) of Social Circle, Ga., and Ryan McCollam (Hope) of Cherokee; a daughter, Donna (Rex) Neil of Columbia, Mo.; six grandchildren, Travis (Julie) Neil of Columbia, Mo., Kayce (Josh) Soper, of Columbia, Mo., Kimberly (Drew) Winters of Monroe, Ga., Kayla McCollam of Panama City Beach, Fla., Josh McCollam of Chariton, and Heather (Jared) Kirkeby of Orange City; and four great-grandchildren, Riley and Tanner Neil, and Madison and Davis Winters.
