City Employees honored

The City of Cherokee recently honored five City Department heads who have faithfully served this community for 35 years with a public reception at City Hall, hosted by Mayor Mark Murphy and City Administrator Don Eikmeier. These dedicated employees are City Clerk Deb Taylor; Water Superintendent Mark Napier; Wastewater Superintendent Steve Casey; Inter-Departmental Utility Foreman Steve Essick; and Streets Superintendent Jim Agnitsch, each of whom began their City employment in the U.S. Centennial Year of 1976.
