The Quilters have been selling raffle chances for the quilt throughout the year and the $1 chances for this quilt will be available for the last time during the CRMC Auxiliary "Sweet Affair" holiday cookie sale on Wednesday morning, Dec. 7. The quilt drawing will take place later that day. Throughout the years, the CRMC Quilters have supported many wonderful projects at the hospital with the proceeds of their quilting. Photo contributed
Each year, Cherokee Regional Medical Center Auxiliary puts on the "Sweet Affair" holiday cookie sale as one of its annual fundraisers.

The Sweet Affair is a great opportunity to purchase goodie trays for the holidays with each tray containing a wide assortment of cookies, candies and treats. The cost is $12 for a tray of five dozen and $6 for two and half dozen.

The "Sweet Affair" is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center lobby by the cafeteria. People are encouraged to reserve a limited number of trays prior to the event by calling Peggy Jaminet at 712-225-4094.

The CRMC Auxiliary uses the money raised from the "Sweet Affair" to provide little extras to patients and their families at Cherokee Regional Medical Center. Some of the current projects include providing cable TV service to patient rooms, educational books to first time mothers at CRMC, and awarding two $400 scholarships to qualifying local area high school seniors each spring. Funding these projects is quite an undertaking so your support of the CRMC Auxiliary is greatly appreciated.

In addition, the CRMC Auxiliary welcomes new members. If you are interested in joining the Auxiliary or would like to learn more about the organization, please feel to contact Marilyn Brown at 712-225-4758.
