The Book Vine, located at 204 West Main Street in Cherokee, has a good - sized basement which was already set up to operate a small business, and owner Molly Loughlin didn't have look far to find a suitable tenant.

On October 1, 2011, Molly's daughter-in-law, Amy Loughlin, opened a new business, Underground Clothing, downstairs at the Book Vine.

Underground Clothing offers a line of "fun and affordable" clothing for babies, teenage girls and adult women - most of it for less than $40. They also has "tons" of accessories available, including many items which could serve as "stocking stuffers" this Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, Amy also offers free gift wrapping for items purchased at Underground Clothing.

Underground Clothing has the same store hours as The Book Vine - Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m; Thursdays from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and during the Christmas shopping season they will also be open from 12 noon - 4 p.m. on Sundays.

The business can be reached by phone at The Book Vine's number, 225-2445.
