Christmas Box Program for soldiers

Monday, November 28, 2011

Last week, 80 first graders from Cherokee Roosevelt Elementary School visited Central Bank to donate handmade Christmas decorations and cards to our troops serving overseas. For the past five years, Central Bank has held a Christmas Box Program. This year's program is sending soldiers from the Cherokee County area Christmas Trees to decorate. Cherokee native Michael Rupp, who currently serves in the U.S. Army, thanked the children on behalf of his fellow soldiers for all their hard work. The program is in need of lights, garland, tree skirts and Christmas items and can be dropped off at both Central Bank locations. Boxes will be shipped on Dec. 2. Photo by Mike Leckband
