Cherokee County 4-H Awards Program

The 2010-2011 Cherokee County 4-H Awards Program was held on Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Cherokee Community Center. The evening began with a wonderful potluck dinner, and as one person put it, "There are no better cooks than 4-H cooks".

The awards portion of the evening began with a welcome by 4-H Youth Committee President, Jerry Ebert followed by introductions of Extension Staff and Extension Council members by ISU Extension and Outreach Regional Director Jerry Chizek.

The 2011-2012 County Council installation ceremony was held. The returning members include: Jill Addison, Sara Peters, Katie Cedar, Courtney Behrens, Clara Wulfsen, Ashley Brady, and Colby Behrens. New members this year include: Brooke Luetkeman, Haley Mummert, Patrick Garriott, and Mikayla Tuttle.

Each Cherokee County 4-H'er was introduced with their respective club and leaders. Cherokee County

Partner in 4-H Award is given to an individual or group who invests in the future of the 4-H program. The recipient knows and understands the importance of investing in the future of tomorrow and sustaining the program. This year's recipient is the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors
