SAC CITY - In the words of their coach, Shannon Tesch, the Ridge View boys "were kind of flat tonight," in their Tuesday ninght game here against East Sac County.
Trailing 24-7 by the end of the first quarter, the Raptors never got any closer, and dropped the non-conference tilt by a final score of 75-47.
Reed Tellinghuisen had a big game for East Sac, dropping in 31 points, and teammate Collin Schrader certainly helped out with 20 points of his own, as the duo outscored the entire Ridge View team, 51-47.
The Raptors' "Big 3" of Seth Johnson, Joe Tokheim and Kyle Wessling led the way for Ridge View, now 0-2. Johnson scored 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assists, while Tokheim scored eight points and had five steals and Wessling grabbed seven rebounds and had two steals.
Coach Tesch said he "felt like we were a step slow defensively," but also added that East Sac shot the ball very well, and played very smart at both ends of the court.
