We stand and applaud all the hardy, creative souls who participated in Cherokee's "Wonderful World of Christmas Parade" Thursday night in beautiful Downtown Cherokee.
With freezing temperatures hovering in the teens and low 20s and a brisk north wind, the 10th annual Parade still attracted many beautiful lighted floats and/or vehicles (and some colorful participants!), along with hundreds of appreciative onlookers to Downtown Cherokee's designated Entertainment & Cultural District.
Sponsored by the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce Promotions Team, the annual Parade serves to kick off the Christmas Season and is always a stunning event as it merrily weaves its way down scenic Main Street.
We heartily endorse and congratulate the award winners as selected by the judges. Thank You and your talents and time for coming together to help make the Parade such a success.
To all the participants, thank you for all the hard work and dedication it requires to sponsor a Parade float, and thank you to the Chamber of Commerce and the creative minds and understanding bosses and employees it takes to pull it all off so brilliantly year after year.
And what about the jam-packed Cherokee RR Depot after the Parade where the Cherokee Middle School band and vocalists, and hot chocolate and snacks warmed and entertained the public? What a fitting end!
Yes, our "Wonderful World of Christmas Parade" is one more shining jewel in the crown that makes this community so special.
