Alta-Aurelia got off to an 8-0 lead and held slim leads at the end of the first quarter and again at half, but HMS outscored the Warriors in the 3rd quarter, 21-13, and the Hawks wound up with a 15 point victory, 62-47.

Neil Marshall and AJ Lange each scored 15 points to lead Alta-Aurelia's scoring. and Marshall also led the Warriors on the boards with seven rebounds and in steals and assists, with four of each.

Alta-Aurelia coach Dean Lietz said, "We were dominated on the glass and didn't move our feet well on defense. Offensively, we struggled in the second half, especially coming down the stretch. HMS is a good basketball team, so hats off to them, but we need to do a better job on both ends of the floor if we expect to win."

The Warriors (4-3 overall , 3-1 in conference) now enter the Christmas break.
