Wolverine Adam Paulsen led all scorers with 26 points, followed by Nate Struve 17, and Austin Wise nine.
Dylan Spieler paced the host Eagles with 24 points, and Zach Specht added 12.
MMC sank 19-44 field goals for 43 percent,a nd was 1-4 from three-point land. The Eagles meshed 9-14 free throws.
South O'Brien made 24-41 shots for a torrid 59 percent, and converted 12-14 free throws.
"South O'Brien is a very solid team," said MMC coach Pat Bird. "They were hitting on all cylinders tonight. Their defensive pressure took its toll on us, and their bench strength made it even tougher on us.
"We came out with a good third quarter after a slow first half (Eagles outscored SOS 18-11 in third period), but they were simply too much for us tonight."
The MMC teams travel to Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Friday night.
