Cherokee County Work Services adds new business

The Cherokee County Work Services has recently started a new business called Jumpy Monkey Coffee.

Jumpy Monkey Coffee was started by Opportunities Unlimited, which serves individuals who have sustained a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury or other physical disabilities, in Sioux City when they purchased a coffee shop in 2004.

Today, that business has grown to become very successful. Currently, they buy premium quality coffee beans all over the world. Jumpy Monkey premium coffee is roasted in Sioux City. The beans are roasted in an artesian roaster in small batches for higher quality, more consistency and better taste.

CCWS is fortunate to have it packaged and distributed right here in Cherokee.

Jumpy Monkey Coffee offers over 30 different premium flavors. The CCWS receives the roasted beans here and packages them into the appropriate bags.

This new business will provide several new jobs for CCWS, which include: opening the bags, filling the bags, sealing the bags, labeling the bags, and selling the bags to local businesses. Currently, the Jumpy Monkey Coffee is being sold at Cherokee Fareway Store and the Cherokee Hy-Vee Store.

Jumpy Monkey Coffee is an awesome idea to be used as a fund raiser for your organization, schools or for an event. It also makes great gifts too. They can even make up gift baskets for special occasions.

Start your day today by enjoying a great cup of Jumpy Monkey Coffee, which positively impacts the lives of others at the same time. It truly is a coffee with a cause.

The Cherokee County Work Services is a nonprofit organization that employs individuals with varying abilities/disabilities. They have been in business for over 43 years.
