The Cherokee Community Theater will be holding auditions on Wednesday, January 18 and Thursday, January 19 at the Cherokee Community Center for the spring production of John Cariani's "Almost, Maine. "

The auditions will be held from 7:30- 9 p.m. both evenings. Directors Andy and Pamela Linn will be casting as many as nine male and nine female roles, depending on the turnout and interest. Characters range in age from 17 to 60 years of age.

"Almost, Maine" is a quirky, award-winning romantic comedy about the residents of a fictitious town in Maine who fall in and out of love during the course of one evening in the most unexpected and humorous ways.

CCT Board Vice President Andy Linn encourages both CCT veteran performers and newcomers to community theater to try out.

"This production can be cast with anywhere from 4-18 actors," said Linn. "This is the perfect opportunity for those who may have been thinking of getting involved in theater to work with some of our veteran performers on stage. The play is a series of vignettes, so everyone is going to have the opportunity to "star" in their own scene. It's a charming and funny script and we're really looking forward to bringing this production to the CCT stage."
