ALTA - The Alta-Aurelia boys were able to bounce back from their Tuesday stomping by Storm Lake St. Mary's with a 70-48 wire-to-wire non-conference win here on Thursday over River Valley.

Jaden Holton led the Warrior scoring attack with 21 points, while A.J. Lange scored 14, Jalen Henningsen 12, and Neil Marshall eight.

Holton also led the Warriors on the boards with seven rebounds and Marshall chipped in with six. Jalen Henninsen had five steals for Coach Dean Lietz's Warriors and Henningsen and Holton each dished out seven assists.

Brody Riedemann led the Wolverines with 20 points, and Zak Gander scored 14.

Coach Lietz said, "This was a nice rebound for us, as we were able to get everyone in the game and playing effectively. We were a little sloppy with the ball at times, but we passed the ball well and made open shots. We rebounded the ball much better and found our range from behind the arc. We now need to go on the road and get a win."

Alta-Aurelia (7-4) has a couple more non-conference contests this week, hosting Kingsley-Pierson Tuesday, then traveling to Cherokee on Thursday. River Valley (2-11) travels to Woodbury Central on Tuesday and hosts Lawton-Bronson on Friday.
