Wolverine boys fall to 12-2 L-B

CORRECTIONVILLE - The River Valley boys took on Lawton-Bronson in Western Valley Conference basketball here on Friday and, after trailing by a single point at the end of the first quarter, the Lawton-Bronson team began to pull away, increasing their lead to six at the half and then extending it throughout the second half, before posting a final victory by a 60-36 score.

River Valley's attack was led by senior Brody Riedemann, who scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds. Fellow senior Zak Gander scored nine points for the Wolverines of Coach Dean Norris and also pulled down nine rebounds, while sophomore Brennan Riedemann scored eight points and stole three passes.

Lawton-Bronson's two=pronged attack of juniors Matt Smith and Steve Adams led the Eagles, scoring 20 and 19 points, respectively, and Adams made it a double-double night as he also grabbed 10 rebounds. Another junior Austin Lefler, dished out 12 assists for the Eagles,who improved their season record to 12-2 with the win.

Both the Eagles and Wolverines, who are now 3-14, will be playing in the Western Valley Conference Tournament this week.
